For my course culminating task, I have developed a 3-week unit plan on Music composition for secondary school Instrumental Music classes. This unit plan uses a variety of technological tools, assessment forms, and 21st century learning skills that promote student creativity and enhanced learning. This unit plan features the project-based learning and experiential learning pedagogical approaches.
The lesson plan I have linked is titled Morse Code Music. Students will learn about musical examples that feature morse code, and then use a morse code translator tool to compose their own musical works.
Along with my rationale, I am sharing a Google Slides link to the lesson plan and a Issuu flipbook of my unit plan that I would use to share with colleagues.
